We use privacy-minimized first-party analytics to understand anonymous browser sessions, reading engagement, searches, tool selections, video use, newsletter signups, merchant-link actions, and comment activity. A random browser identifier rotates after 90 days; a session ends after 30 minutes of inactivity. Neither identifier is tied to a name or account.

We record page paths, referring hostnames, sanitized campaign labels, visible active time, maximum scroll depth, broad device and browser families, and a country code resolved locally on our server. We do not retain visitor IP addresses, exact locations, full user agents, fingerprints, mouse movement, keystrokes, form contents, or session replays, and we do not sell personal information.

When you submit a comment, your display name and approved comment are public. An optional email address is used only for moderation and is never published. Rejected comments are retained privately for up to 12 months; approved comments remain public while their optional email address is removed after 12 months. A first-party comment-reaction cookie prevents duplicate thumbs-up reactions and does not identify you publicly.

Detailed anonymous journeys are removed after 90 days. Identifier-free daily totals are retained for 24 months. Traffic may be labeled as ordinary browser, automation, known bot, internal, unknown, or legacy; these labels are evidence, not proof that a visitor is or is not a person.

Analytics respects browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. You can disable analytics on this device or disable it and request deletion of the anonymous history still linked to this browser below.
